Dual-Enrolled Student Orientation
Welcome to SMC!
Current high school students, we’re excited for you to begin your early college journey with SMC!
To help you make the most of your time here, all new dual-enrolled students starting at SMC for the first time are expected to complete Dual-Enrolled Student Orientation. During our two-part orientation, you’ll learn about campus resources and how to succeed at SMC. Parents are encouraged to participate in orientation with you.
Part One: Online Orientation for Dual-Enrolled Students
Part one is completely online and can be completed any time from your computer or phone. Launch orientation using the link above, then enter your information as prompted (first name, last name, etc.) to begin. The online orientation modules cover the following topics:
- Getting Started at SMC
- Academic Advising
- Campus Technology
- Academic Support and Tutoring
- Student Resources for Success
- Campus Life
Part Two: On-Campus Orientation for Dual-Enrolled Students
Choose the date and time that work best for you and sign up!
Wednesday, August 13 | Dowagiac Campus | 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Friday, August 15 | Niles Campus | 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Friday, August 22 | Dowagiac Campus | 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
SIGN UP FOR ON-CAMPUS ORIENTATION
This orientation is intended for high school students participating in SMC's Dual-Enrollment program.
If you are a recent high school graduate or adult student planning to pursue a degree or certificate at SMC, please do not sign up for this orientation.
Although New Student Orientation for recent graduates and adult students has concluded for Fall 2025, you can still take your next steps by attending one of our Next Step Wednesdays or Roadrunner Registration Week.
